Xirus!!! that’s what i will call it, if i code it into a application in future…….
What i am about to tell is not exactly a anti virus,but a trick that i have been using from the last 2-3 yrs……believe u me!…..i do not need any anti virus software so no need of getting updates and no nothing. All you need to do is,a couple of clicks and your job will be done.
Mostly your source of virus is a pen drive.
No Before we start with this, make sure that your folder option settings are as follows
show hidden files n folders - enabled
hide extension - unchecked
hide protected OS files - unchecked
if not! u can alter this settings from control panel -> folder options -> view tab
Now whenever you are about to insert your pen drive
just follow this steps b4 you do so……
1. Task manager (ctrl+atl+del)
2. Processes Tab
3. explorer.exe
4. End Process (this will close all your everything but do not worry its a part of a procedure.Refer *)
5. File menu
6. New Task
7. Browse
Insert your pendrive
8. In Look in select the mass storage (the pen) drive (for e.g. “H:”)
9. Select All files in Files of Type
10. Delete the files you doubt to be a virus (Refer **)
11. Cancel
12. Type explorer.exe in open

now u can continue wid ur part of work
Its Confusing i know but it’s worth a zillion
i used dis trick for couple of years n hav faced no viruses.
Bt ya! if i mistakenly dont follow it - the next thing, i find myself doing d formatting **** n all
well i dont even use a anti-virus b’coz i dont nid it nw following dis.

ending the explorer.exe helps u kill d platform of a virus - i mean explorer.exe is support system to ur application & to the viruses too.

if u cant make out which file is a virus or which is not den
create a new folder in the pendrive itself
drag n drop all the files onto the folder
generally get rid of the autorun.ini file - just delete dat ****
also make it a habit of storing the files in a folder rather den directly pasting dem at d root
